Above is a collection of (1) commentary and (2) responses to queries in a variety of areas that I made over the past few years up to the present both as an active participant on the ÑANDU list serv http://www.cal.org/earlylang/ and from other teaching experiences.
I highly recommend that any FLES teacher, just beginning or with many years of experience, join this valuable avenue of sharing, assistance, and commentary. My growth as a professional is due in a great part to the exchanges that have occured via this service. I am so grateful for this ongoing experience. I firmly believe that the ÑANDU list serv will be a major element in the success of FLES programs in the United States by creating a strong network of committed and talented professionals who are willing to share their individual victories and to bring problematic issues to the forefront for discussion and possible solutions. It is exciting to be part of this effort.
These opinions and suggestions emanate from my own personal experience in the Spanish FLES classroom and are not intended to be the last word on any subject. I am continuously learning from other teachers and my students. Take from each topic discussion what fits you and your own teaching situation!
